Considering that I haven't read it, I can't say specifically. But in general, a story does not require one if there is appropriate closure. The fact that he was asking just suggests he really liked you story and wants a little more - even if it's just a bit. Isn't that usually the case where you want one because you feel bittersweet about an ending - happy that the story wrapped up nicely, yet still wanting to know more about the characters because you don't want to let them go just yet?
That's probably it. After I had told him I hadn't considered it, he kind of proposed the suggestion that if I intended to write a third story involving Sora, there was no need but otherwise an epilogue would be nice. But he also said it wasn't a dire necessity. So I don't know
Yeah, that happened to me with A Demon's Demand. The one reviewer was hoping for a continuation or something, even though I had already explicitly put "epilogue" and "the end". That's just what happens when your story is enjoyable - no one wants it to end XD
