Lollipop Kingdom - SuG

May 01, 2012 12:48

I have listened to a SuG song or two before, not that I can recall at all which ones, and was not a great fan. My tastes for music however are forever expanding, and so SuG has managed to win me over... with at least two songs. fallenguitarist sent me the link to a video for their song "Pastel Horror Yum Yum Show", which was amusing enough to me with the title. I ( Read more... )

Very true. At first I didn't even know they made a second video for the album, I only knew of Howling Magic (which I strangely enough, really, really like). This song is a bit harder to get into but I managed to get into it after a few tries and I must say, now it doesn't bore me either! SuG is silly, since some of their songs are so bad that you are ashamed you ever heard them, and then they make a song or two that are the complete opposite! How teasing ( ... )

I have not even really listened to "Howling Magic" yet. I've just been rocking away to "Pastel Horror Yum Yum Show", haha I shall have to listen to it properly to form an opinion D:

You can send me random SuG stuff since links are and useless most other places. And csg_dear4life would appreciate that too because... well, see comments below?

I can't remember if i listened to "STRONG POP" or not. I don't think so. I'll youtube it. Combatmode?
So... the bad news is that there is another single to spend money on? D:

Excuse me for late reply. I am a bit dead. Unfortunately. As you perhaps remember, the D concert was yesterday and it was quite a killer. A killer for energy and no sleep on the way back which took really, really long. No fun at all. You see, there was also a soccer match yesterday to determine which club would become champion. Unfortunately, as expected, it became the biggest club of Holland, which has it's homebase in Amsterdam (magically...), Ajax. So all of Amsterdam, Utrecht and Arnhem/Nijmegen was upside down and horrible. Since the Melkweg is located right behind the Leidseplein in Amsterdam, where all the bars and nightlife-clubs are, it was quite a mission to get out unharmed and as soon as possible. The trouble one had to do to get from Amsterdam to Ede does not weigh up to well, the concert itself. I was thinking of you all day yesterday and I actually felt really bad for going ( ... )

Aww! I don't want you to feel guilty for having fun!!! I was going to ask you how the show went anyway. It's okay. There wasn't anything to be done differently this time around, but we shall meet someday, hopefully soon. One thing I don't lament missing out on is that soccer riot, haha. That sounds painful for sure. You should not feel guilty. I want to hear that you had fun, otherwise the concert was a waste D:
You didn't have to send me anything! D:

Oh cool, thanks :) I love getting new music, and lately finding downloads (even to purchase) is starting to become troublesome.
At least the man was already driving the bus when you made him laugh like that! Might have caused some trouble, hahaha. I can't believe people were actually upset with you though, that's stupid...

Say bye bye monies D:
There's always something to spend money on, no?

Haha. Everytime someone has requested this artist I thought they were talking about Sugizo and never paid attention.

Anyway, Like the song. They kinda remind me of Panic at the Disco.

Okay I listened to a few more songs. I'm liking them too. But damn it, they're not on Itunes or HearJapan, and all the link on J-music are meg ones. =__=
It's so hard to fall in love with new bands anymore.
I hate it. Hate hate hate it!!

Sugizo is another pretty cool artist, yes indeed :)

I can't be of much help for other songs because I, like you, went to jmusic and was unsuccessful. You can try tonarimachi . I have not looked there yet, so I can't say.
Most I can offer is fallenguitarist 's link she shared in my "j-rock firsts' post.
Yeah, lately finding downloads for anything (not just Japanese bands) has been really difficult or near impossible. So annoying D:

Whaaat?! Based on the lyrics I could find (Japanese), half this song is English! =__=;;
I seriously couldn't understand much.
Not to mention, I think videos turn me ADD so I barely listen to the song... LOL~
I was too busy being distracted by the random happenings of the video.

That said, if you can't find translations or whatever, I can give it a shot. It shouldn't be that difficult XD

haha, even the English lyrics make NO sense. It's like they stuck something in google translate (which wouldn't surprise me).
The only portion I could understand on its own was "pastel horror is yum yum!" and only after I came to understand that they were using the Japanese word for "pastel".

Eh, the song only came out April I think, so I'll give it a little while. Right now I have doubts that anything I find will make sense anyway, haha

haha, true that. It seemed pretty random... Though I guess they make it work.

Maybe it's not supposed to make sense? Wouldn't be the first song like that... But yeah, don't feel shy about asking if you can't find anything :P

It seems like a song that is supposed to be particularly whimsical or otherwise a little nonsensical. And the song is fun, so I'm not offended.

So wait... did you like the song at all, or did you just think it was weird?
And thanks, I'll be sure to ask if I need anything :)
