I'd also go with 1 or 2.... for looks. So, my next concern would be fit for your frame. Which fits your seat and back best... and if they are both good then what about arm comfort? I tend to rest my arms a lot on the chair when I'm sitting.... so where do you tend to rest your arms? And what do you need to support or prevent?

I use number 1 at work and I highly recommend it! That chair's super comfy because it hugs the contours of my ass and it adjusts pretty smooth. The only downside is if you're wearing dark denim the color may rub off on the seat. (The stains can easily be removed with a wet wipe, though.)

You have number 1! Where'd you purchase it? I was looking at the one on officechairstation.com.

Yeah, I was concerned about the color rubbing off... is it all dark denim or just newly purchased dark denim? And you haven't had a problem cleaning it off?

I don't know where my employer purchased it but I can tell you that the jeans I've been wearing (old or new) have rubbed off on that chair. I always have wet wipes with me and like I said before, it is removed easily :-)

I have the Ikea chair in white... It's not terribly uncomfortable but if I'm on the computer for long periods of time I sit on an exercise ball instead--it's better for your back and actually really comfortable once you get used to the weirdness. I sat on a ball all day at work for about a year before I changed jobs.

Anyway, the chair. I was very dedicated to maintaining the white for a couple years, but the cushion has a grey tinge to it now--I think it was slowly stained by the dye of my pants or something. It still looks okay. Not the most practical chair on the whole, but it does look really nice. :D
