They were both written fairly quickly and I haven't done much editing on them since I posted them to the meme, so I apologise for any mistakes.
TITLE: Four Minutes
CHARACTERS: Kurt, Karofsky, Azimio
PAIRING: Kurt/Karofsky (one-sided)
RATING/WARNINGS: PG -13 / Slash, language
A/N: Written for the prompt "Dave/Kurt pre-slash, it's when Dave sees Cheerios performing 4 minutes, that he knows he can't deny the truth anymore (angst? yes please!)"
He’s sitting next to Azimio and some of the other guys from the hockey team. The other guys are making obscene jokes about the Cheerios as they enter the floor. Dave tries to join in, but then he almost chokes on his words. Is that… Hummel? In a Cheerios uniform?
He doesn’t even hear the taunting jokes the others guys make, he just gives Azimio the automatic smirk when the guy elbows him in his side, nods along to whatever he says.
His eyes are stuck on the boy in front of them. Hummel is now at the front, closest to the stands, and he squats down and makes a loud groaning sound that causes a twitch in a certain area Dave does not want to acknowledge is responding to this. As the fat chick is singing, Dave’s eyes are stuck on Hummel; the guy’s hips moving to the music in a very… no, he’s not thinking of Hummel’s hips, for fucks sake!
Then he’s joining in with the Cheerios, doing the same movements as the girls and Dave can’t even… Hummel’s movements are not more intriguing than the girls’, not at all. It’s just wrong, he tells himself. Guys shouldn’t be doing these things. It’s not right. That’s why he’s staring at him. Not because…oh god, did Hummel just look in his direction right there? When he was moving towards the stand again? Singing something about taking it slow? Why did that sound so dirty coming out of Hummel’s mouth? With that look in his eyes?
No. Stop it. He forces himself to look at the chicks, tries finding their moving hips arousing, the short skirts hiding nothing off their legs. Hears the guys making jokes about girl on girl action. But his eyes draw back to Kurt. Hummel, he meant Hummel. As if he would ever bother learning the freak's first name.
Oh god, what are they doing now? How can his body move like that? Should a guy’s body be able to do that? He’s fascinated by all this. Hummel looks good in red. He shakes his head, a little too much as it seems to draw Azimio’s attention. The guy is giving him a weird look now.
“Can’t believe this, why are they letting the homo join in?” He says quickly. It’s not very convincing or even a good insult, but Azimio seems to find the comment enough to turn back to focusing on the girls.
Dave turns back to watch Ku… Hummel! And he’s now actually sliding down and up his friend in a way that... does absolutely nothing to Dave. Nothing. That instant thought about wanting to be in her place never ever existed.
Did Hummel just make a thrusting movement with his hips? Why can’t he look away from this? Then they both stick their butts out and Hummel is practically wiggling his ass in Dave’s direction. He strikes a pose as the music ends, stares up at the crowd with an intense look on his face.
Dave can’t look away. He wants Hummel to look at him, meet his eyes. Hummel’s eyes seem to search the crowd as everyone starts cheering, but never reach his. A smile is spreading on his face when he realises the reception they’re getting is lifting the roof. Dave and the guys are standing up as well, but no cheering or applause from them. A few cat-calls in direction of the girls from the others, but Dave is still staring at Hummel. Sees him and that chick (Mercedes something? He knows it has something to do with cars anyway) walking towards Schuester and Coach Sylvester.
Hummel looks uncomfortable for a moment, then confident in that annoying way of his as he speaks up to Schuester. Dave has no idea what they’re talking about, he doesn’t care, but he can still practically hear the fairy-boy’s voice in his head. Hummel walks away. Walks in that way. Dave watches as he saunters off, joins the girls. He even does some girly excited jumping with a few of the other Cheerios. Dave is staring at his ass in those pants.
Then he’s not, because Hummel has turned around. And then their eyes actually meet. Dave puts on his game face, the scowl. Hummel looks slightly nervous, swallows hard enough for Dave to see even from a distance. Dave knows that in that moment Hummel is realising what he’s done will only increase the usual treatment from the jocks. More slushies in the face, more of those precious outfits ruined, more visits to the dumpster and close encounters with the lockers. He’s gone and infested the Cheerios, the jocks’ ultimate fantasy. Dave tells himself that’s the only reason he feels an urge to kiss the guy right now, he’s confused him. By acting like a girl, dancing like a girl, singing like a girl. It’s not right. It’s messing with his head.
And then Hummel does something so annoying. He sticks his chin out, holds his head up higher, and swirls around. Walks away arm in arm with… whatever her name is. Doesn’t look back once, and then he’s out of sight. The crowd is sitting down, Dave notices just in time for his hesitance to not be noticed. Azimio is talking again.
“The fag is gonna pay for that one.”
Dave nods hard in agreement, without even thinking. As the words finally take form in his head, he tries to push the rest of his thoughts away and focus on that mission statement from his best friend. What he just saw was wrong. Hummel is wrong. Everything about Hummel is all wrong. He will pay for it. Dave nods to himself, that knot in his stomach seems to be fading now that he has a plan. Blueberry slushie, first thing in the morning. As a beginning.
TITLE: Second Kiss
CHARACTERS: Kurt, Karofsky
PAIRING: Kurt/Karofsky
RATING/WARNINGS: PG-13 / Slash
A/N: Written for the prompt "Karofsky stole Kurt's first kiss. He asks to be Kurt's second."
I hope the switching POV isn't too confusing. I just couldn't decide which one of them to focus on and it ended up like this.
”Why are we here?”
Dave’s eyes were narrow, his brow furrowed in irritation. Kurt ignored the question, walking along the row of red lockers, tracing the cool steel with his fingers, making sure to sway his hips a little more than usual until he reached the end of the row and stopped.
“It’s so different in here when it’s empty, don’t you agree? So quiet.”
Kurt turned around to face Dave. His expression hadn’t changed. If anything, his eyes narrowed even more when Kurt refused to answer him. Kurt couldn’t help but be slightly amused. These days making David Karofsky annoyed were one of his favourite pastimes, one that in the past would have made him fear for his life but now had the same danger level as prodding a stuffed teddy bear. The therapy had definitely worked on the former bully.
Dave crossed his arms over his chest, and Kurt smirked at the way this action made his t-shirt cling to his muscular arms. Dave raised his eyebrows at that, seemingly oblivious as to what Kurt was looking at.
“What?”
Kurt shrugged and looked away, leaning against the lockers as he tried hard not to blush, before speaking again.
“Well, I promised to help you with your therapy, on your way to redemption…” Dave rolled his eyes at Kurt’s overly theatrical way of saying that last part, “and your therapist said you needed to work on your past wrongs to make things right.”
“I know, I was there,” Dave mumbled annoyed, wondering where this was all going.
As grateful as he was to Kurt for being so helpful - so much more helpful than he deserved and could ever have hoped for - the guy really did know how to make the most of it. The worst had been making him sing for the whole Glee club to show how sorry he was for all the damn slushies. The singing wasn’t so bad, it was the incredibly lame boy band song Kurt had picked - the smirk on his face when he gave him the song had made Dave very tempted to punch him but that would have set the whole thing back about ten steps in the therapist’s eyes - that made the situation so embarrassing.
“What’s your point?” Dave continued, trying to keep his voice calm and polite when Kurt simply sent him one of those overbearing looks.
“You’ve done well, David.”
Kurt was smiling slightly now, and Dave relaxed a little. That smile he liked. A little too much actually, going by that annoying (and yet so thrilling) feeling in his gut that still refused to go away whenever Kurt was around. But still, it usually meant Kurt patting him on the back, or one time even a hug - which would totally not have caused an almost embarrassing moment if Dave hadn’t hurried to sit down right after - and Kurt proclaiming he was proud of his progress. He liked those moments. When Kurt smirked or had that look in his eyes, Dave knew he was in trouble. Now Kurt simply smiled and motioned for him to come closer.
It amazed Kurt how easily he could push the guy’s buttons. Dave’s whole body language responded to simple changes in how Kurt smiled at him or talked to him or touched him, and it was almost a game sometimes to see how far he could take things like that. Kurt wanted to feel bad for doing it, and he did slightly, but he had a very clear mission with dragging Dave into the locker rooms and neither of them would leave before it was done. He had a right to this.
“There’s one thing left to clear up. What happened in here.”
He motioned to the spot between them. Kurt was standing in front of Dave’s locker, their positions reversed from that day when everything changed. Dave swallowed hard, looking very nervous now.
“Gaga help me, it’s kinda cute,” Kurt thought to himself as he moved slightly forwards to get even closer. Dave looked like he wanted to back away, but remained in the same position.
Kurt had that look on his face again. That “here’s another challenge for Project Redemption, if you screw this up I won’t even bother acknowledging your existence again”-look. Dave simply waited for the rest.
“You took my first kiss, without permission.”
Dave sighed, looking away as the dreaded subject came up. He wasn’t surprised that Kurt brought it up, he was more surprised it had taken him this long to get to it. But he had no idea how he was supposed to make up for that, he couldn’t un-kiss him. So Kurt was probably going to make him go through some heartfelt and embarrassing apology, knowing just how uncomfortable Dave was with words. Oh god, what if he had to sing again?
“So, we’re going to do it right this time.”
Dave raised his eyebrows, finally daring to look at Kurt again. Did he really mean…?
“What?”
Kurt sighed dramatically. “I’m sure we could have entire conversations with you just going “what?” to everything I say.”
Dave had to take a deep breath to not get annoyed and say something rude. “How exactly are we going to make it right?”
“By turning it into a new memory.”
Dave didn’t say a word. He couldn’t really believe that what he was reading into Kurt’s words was what he actually meant. It seemed too unreal to think that Kurt would actually want to…
So he just raised his eyebrows quizzically, demanding further explanation.
“You’re going to kiss me again. With permission.”
Dave’s heart was pounding in his chest so loudly that he was sure Kurt could hear it. He simply nodded in response and moved in. But Kurt put his hand against his chest and held him back.
“You don’t have my permission yet.”
Of course there was a catch. Dave narrowed his eyes. Kurt would have him jump through hoops on everything. He couldn’t just make it simple.
Dave looked completely lost now. Kurt couldn’t help but smile at that. Almost without thinking he ran his tongue over his lips, Dave’s eyes instantly drawn to that action.
“And….and how do I get your permission?”
“You have to woo me.”
“I have to what?”
The look on Dave’s face was priceless, and Kurt would have laughed if he wasn’t already so nervous at the prospect of what was going to happen.
For several moments they simply stood there, Dave looking like a deer caught in the headlights. Then he snapped out of it and ran a hand through his hair, sighing in frustration.
“Am I supposed to run out and get flowers or something? Chocolates, does that work? Recite poetry maybe? Or should I dig up some other boyband song from the dark days of the 90s? You know I’m no good at this stuff! Dammit, Hummel, can I just kiss you already?”
Kurt smiled, taking a step closer.
“Yes, you may.”
“What?”
Kurt leaned in closer, and whispered. “All you had to do was ask.”
“Oh.”
They were so close now that Dave could feel Kurt’s warm breath on his face. His eyes could no longer focus on anything other than the boy’s lips. He remembered all too clearly how soft they were. And then he leaned in, their lips meeting almost too quickly and not as gently as Dave had intended. His hands went to Kurt’s face again, then into his hair, holding him a little closer. Dave could feel it all the way to his gut when Kurt parted his lips slightly and their tongues met. Then he felt Kurt’s hands on him, one hand sneaking around his waist, while the other was against his stomach but not pushing him away, it was actually grabbing onto his shirt and pulling him closer.
Finally they came up for air. Staring at each other through hazy eyes, both panting slightly. This time it was Kurt who went in for a second kiss. And Dave had no intention of pushing him away.
