Ingredients:
Chick Peas (250 gm)
tomatoes (1 and sliced)
Potatoes (2 and peeled)
Onions (1 and sliced)
Turmeric powder (1 teaspoon)
It is necessary to keep the chick peas in water overnight or leave it in water in the early afternoon so you could cook it for dinner.
Drain the water.
Boil the chick peas with the potatoes in water.Check to see if the potatoes have soften along with the chick peas.If so remove the excess water if any left.
Fry the onions in a hot frying pan in soyabean oil.Add 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder and mix well.Add the tomatoes and mix well.Add the boiled chick peas and potatoes.Since the potatoes have already soften you can break them while cooking in the pan with the spatula in 4-5 pieces.Mix them well.You can add extra oil if you think it needs more frying.Then let it fry then stir.
Add salt to taste.
The fried chick peas could be a good snack or a meal if you take it with toasted wholemeal bread or puffed rice with a few drops of lemon.
