Teeth Spacers SUCK!!

I got spacers put in between my last tooth and the second last and then the second last and one ahead of it, on both sides on top and one side on bottom, to make space for my expanding retainer i'm getting next week. i've never been so uncomfortable in my whole life. :( I would rather go through getting my wisdom teeth out again rather than have

I feel your pain. Before my braces years ago I had to have an expander in the roof of my mouth - it was like this permanent retainer so I was unable to feel the roof of my mouth. Then the fun part was that it had to be cranked twice a day, there was a special little key that fit into it - it was a horrible experience. Good luck and stay strong! It'll be worth it in the long run :)

That is exactly what I have now! Your the first that actually knows what i'm talking about. Everyone else is like wow that's the first time i heard of that. lol

I have a piece on the bottom too it goes from one jaw tooth over to the back tooth on the other side not the full expanding thing just something to keep my back tooth in place they are attached with a wire that goes up behind my front teeth and down around the other side.

Only plus = since last tuesday when I got the spacers i've lost 9 pounds lol
