I wish I knew more about computers, for exactly these reasons. I had a major computer crash this past spring and lost a *lot* of data - it's so frustrating trying to recover from that! I hope you get your email fully fixed soon.

Oh, UGH! I would hate to think of recovering from a major crash like that.

Well, it is going to take some fighting with Comcast but I will be damned if I am without e-mail for a prolonged period. So thank goodness for the one account I do have right now.

I think I may be able to help you with this problem because it happened to me a while back. Are you using Outlook? If so, make sure that your outgoing server is authenticated under the account settings. Also, make sure that your incoming and outgoing servers have secure connections, and change the port numbers. For the incoming server, the port should be 465. For outgoing, it needs to be 995. The sucurity settings for both are basically check boxes under the server tab of the properties for a specific account. :) If this doesn't make sense, feel free to e-mail me, and I'll give you my number so that I can try to talk you through exactly what you need to do.

That was useful. Didn't work, but it gave something else for Tom to curse over. LOL! He is going to do some more checking tomorrow.
