Wow what an irresponsible bus driver >_>. I can't believe they did that with you! I also can't believe they banged you up so badly that even with no break, you took a year to heal D:. I know it's a little cynical, but I hope they got fired for trying to run people over.

The bus driver was just late. It was a guy in his 20's driving too fast in the rain wo actually hit me. The bus driver ended up being one of the first responders at the scene.

Oh oops. I thought the bus driver did it. Thanks for clarifying. I guess then I should say that I hope that guy lost his license for a really looong time.

I am sure he had something done to him by his dad. The car was totally wrecked. I am just thankful that the guy had insurance. Oy!

The worst part of it all is I felt horrible for what seemed like a lifetime. I ended up with a sprained wrist on the left side that did not show up till two weeks later. And of course because I had been using the wrist to work my dog all that time it took longer to heal.

Ho boy, I just read chesire23's car accident story and now this! Really, this is one of my worst fears! Poor Sunset, also. What a traumatic experience for a guide dog!

Off the main subject now, those parrots are lovely. I didn't know they were so social that they would sit on a guest's leg. That's really cool.

Yeah, we have both had some pretty scary accidents. The accident was the start of the reason that Sunset retired. I was amazed that she worked for almost two more years. She was so loyal that she wanted to be with me no matter what. I am glad I could keep her as a pet in retirement.

The African grays especially are very social birds. The big birds in general need lots of attention.

I really had no idea they were so social! Ever since the dinosaur/bird link was made, I've viewed them as tiny velociraptors.

If you ever get a chance to go meet a friendly parit run don't walk to meet them. LOL! They are really amazing.

Yeah, it was really bad. I had not looked at those photos in a while and even I was like, woe, scary.
