why is it that every time my baby and me want to spend some "quality time" together, one of the kids won't go to sleep for hours and hours??? if it is not one, then it's the other, and they seem to rotate the duty. there should be a law against this. but here we are, jacob in violet's room trying to get her to sleep, and me typing on the computer ( Read more... )

Yesterday was Violet's 3rd birthday party. we had an awesome turn-out of family and friends (at least 30 people) that came over to celebrate with us. it was the first time we had the neighborhood kids and their parents over. it made me feel more officially inducted into the whole mommyhood thing making small talk with other parents while the kids ( Read more... )
