Hold Me and Help Me Understand

My first post in nearly two months. I tell myself that I want to put my thoughts down more often and find that I don't follow through with those plans. I'm coming home in just about ten days and I could not be more ready for Memphis summer life. There are those of you that don't get too excited about this, but I'll tell you why I'm excited.

Do you think your confidence with girls is directly related to your faith? I mean, I know your faith means a lot to you, so I could see that, but while I don't know much about your relationship history, I have to think that maybe you've just gotten burnt out about the whole pursuing girls thing because of your past. Heart broken one time too many? Afraid to trust? Afraid to open up to someone?

I think it's natural after a lot of experience with relationships to become kind of gaurded with your emotions, or at least more careful with them. I can't really offer any advice, since I kind of feel that way personally, but just be open to the idea that there's someone out there you can trust and who'll accept you. And accept that there's a good chance whatever you start will end. There's always that acknowledged risk when it comes to relationships.
