Matthew McGrory, my favorite actor you've never heard of but are very familiar with died today. For the record, McGrory was 32. You know him because he was the most distinctive actor of his generation. He was the 7'6" actor who played the giant, Karl in Big Fish as well as the recurrent character Tiny in Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses and The ( Read more... )

i think i saw him on tv talking with some talk show host or something like that. i think he was diagnosed with a rare condition, causing him to become so large (height, ect). and..actually, when i was younger, i think i heard a different thing about the same condition. people who have it dont live as long as others.

im not 100% positive, but his death probably resulted b.c of his condition.

wow.....that was....realllllly helpful.

a good effort, but an overall failure, sorry. better luck next time.

although i think i have heard about this condition, it's the pituitary gland i think, it's fucking huge and it's like working over time, even when you shouldn't be growing, and it was probably like heart failure or something that killed him, when you get that big it's just too much strain on your organs and muscles, it's sad.

hopefully that clarifies the situation

umm...ok so if it was his pituitary gland..that has to do with his condition (it being large and all). so i actually wasnt wrong.

urm...it happens to all giants...which is a shame. It's like the whole growing processes causes them to age faster, cuz of all the stress they take on. Really a shame.

Rest in peace (i would have used the princess bride quote, but graham, you know what's best at certain times).

I loved "Big Fish" & I also think he was in "My Giant." Whenever he did an interview he was so classy and sweet. & as far as I heard, it was "of natural causes."
