Upcoming projects
Well, it's only about 15 weeks until Dragon*Con so I better get started on costumes...because the list is loooong. And Lebowski Fest Orlando is next week...so I really better get started!
But first, a cut!
Gutterballs Maude Lebowski from The Big Lebowski. I actually did this costume a few years ago:
What I love about Lebowski costumes is that they can be done on a budget and no one gives you grief....it's OKAY if they're not 100% accurate. I love Achievers! I have some copper vinyl to make the skirt look more like the screen used one...we'll see how that turns out.
Next costumes I need to get crackin' on:
For my BF, Major Don West in the green tunic and I'll be Judy in the purple dress and tights.
Ugh...more jumpsuits. Thought, technically, these were 2-piece suits...so I might get away with that. Also, most fans prefer the 1st season style collar as opposed to the 2nd season collar shown here in this pic. I opt for 1st season because it's easier to make.
Last but not least:
All I'd really have to make is the wig since most of Abby's outfits can be found online or at Hot Topic. I actually have a few items from my closet that will work, but hey, any reason to buy new goth outfits...
And one of the design guys posted Abby's spider web tattoo on his Twitter page so we just have to get some temporary tattoo paper and print it out!
And if there's time before Celebration 5, I'd LOVE to do this:
It's what Luke/Leia might have looked like...before they decided that Luke would be male and Leia would be female. I have the wig and the boots...not the best of starts.
But Dragon*Con takes priority so I doubt this will get made.
Wish me luck! I think by the time this is all over, I won't want to sew for a while. Heh. :(
