LOL! Will do-- I would love to meet you, too! It was a kind of spur of the moment thing, for my sister's birthday weekend. But I really loved it up there-- everything BUT the traffic which is a nightmare. But it's a really nice city to visit!
And everyone was so NICE* -- which surprised me , they just talk to you like you're old friends. I liked that. Plus, weather and mountains and art and culture. Niiiice. :D There's so much to see up there I hope to go back soon. Maybe in winter.
*except perhaps for the very young little blonde, blue eyed girls at Stone Mtn. who staaaaaaared at Kix like she was the scariest.thing.evar. But that could just be her current 'biker pirate' style, LOL, and not be about anything else.
The fall color here in Alabama has really blown me away this year. I was convinced it was going to be nonexistent thanks to the summer-long drought, but the recent rains really revved up the trees. It really is the most Technicolor fall I've ever seen here, and it sounds like it was the same way in Georgia.
Stone Mountain is a great place! It's tough to beat just sitting on top of that giant rock and looking at the world.
Next time you go to Atlanta, be sure to check out the Georgia Aquarium, which is supposedly (attention, Kix!) the world's largest. :)
Yes, it was GORGEOUS. I've never seen that before in all my life, and loved it!
And yeah, stone mountain is really, really cool.
When we were up there I kept seeing the signs to B'ham and thinkin'... oh my, only a LITTLE further and I could see you, Prarieflower, and a few others... go to Naked Art Gallery... see the Vulcan... *sighs dreamily* another time, I hope.
