So, you all know my kid loves to write. Recently, the school had a program where for $15 they would bind a short, up to 9 page story of your kid's into a book with illustrations, all done by the kid. This year, we did it. We now have a hardbound, signed copy of this story which she wrote in class, but would not let me read it until today

Also, you know those sisterly coincidences? A) Casey got a perfect score on the orange county writing test last year and was the only one in her grade to do so and B) Just last night I was going through her old school papers (they sent home a bunch of stuff from the elementary school years) and I came across a really amusing story she wrote in 3rd grade, so I scanned it and was going to post it, but was having internet problems. So we would have both been posting our kids' stories on the same day. Yep.

It reads like a dream, very visual and mysterious. I like her transitions. Hillarious ending! Shawty could show De Maupessant or Hitchcock a twist!
