Name (and age/-relevance if applicable): Darkrai. She's named herself Rajani, though she doesn't reveal this name openly. As for age... ANCIENT. She doesn't look it, of course, appearing to be in her late twenties/early thirties. (Teeeechnically Darkrai is genderless, but since its human form here is female we'll call it a her.)
Series: Pokémon (Platinum timeline if you wanna be specific)
Occupation or status upon arrival: Roaming I think the term "Vigilante" would describe what role she'll play in DC.
Personality:
On her own Rajani is a blank slate. Without anyone around to interact with or any tasks at hand, she's kind of at a loss, tending to go over recent knowledge or events mentally. If someone comes across her like this, it will seem as though she's simply staring into space. Most of her actions are mental rather than physical - she prefers to watch the world go by rather than take part in it.
Around others Rajani is the image of calm and collected. She seems detached. She doesn't lend herself well to conversation because she's a bit shy and to be honest, she's kind of dull, with no real interests to speak of. When she does speak: althought brutally honest, she speaks formally, in a straight-to-the-point manner and rarely uses contractions (i.e.: "do not" instead of "don't").
It takes Rajani a while to warm up to people, but once she does she'll remain loyal to them. If it seems like anything about them is out of the ordinary to her, she'll show quite a bit of concern... sometimes it seems like too much; it can come off as a little creepy sometimes, but she means well. If someone's gotten close enough to her (this takes some time), she'll do anything in her power to look out for them.
If there's someone Rajani dislikes... she'd actually treat them in a similar manner to how she'd treat strangers. She'll keep them at a distance and try to ignore them as much as possible. If they pose any threat to someone she likes, THEN she'll take action; trapping them in nightmares (or at least, she'll TRY to) as a warning, and if they persist, she'll attack.
Darkrai is a very powerful Pokémon, of that you can be certain. However, she doesn't like to abuse her power; instead using her ability to protect-- she's defensive by being aggressive, if that makes sense.
Rajani is a tad leery of modern technology and the things it's capable of, so she doesn't often use computers and such; preferring to communicate in person. (I won't eliminate the possibility of her using them altogether, though. She keeps an offline journal for actual entries, and will probably use the online journals only to comment and/or ask someone something.)

Sinnoh's mythology speaks of many mystical and powerful Pokémon. Among them is one said to appear under the new moon; trapping people and Pokémon within nightmares for eternity. Some say it is the only Pokémon that can be described as "evil".
Behind every myth, however, is a truth. Let's have a look at that.
Once upon a time Darkrai appeared in the Sinnoh region--- exactly when and how is unknown, even to her. But let's skip forward a bit. Unlike many legendary Pokemon, she had no apparent purpose to her... all she knew was that she was powerful. As any young Pokémon's mind might work, there was only one thing to do with that power-- fight. Fight and become stronger. Which she did.
However, she also noticed something strange in the process... for some reason, people and Pokémon in her presence that were asleep (or that she put to sleep) fell victim to horrible nightmares. Nightmares strong enough to actually hurt them. But by the time she realized it was her, the damage had been done; her reputation as a Pokémon was a bad one.
Unwilling to further cause problems to anyone, Darkrai exiled herself to one of the secluded twin islands off the coast of Sinnoh-- the one that would later be known as Newmoon Island. No one could be trapped by her powers there, and in the unlikely event that something DID happen... Fullmoon Island lay adjacent, and with it Cresselia, who happened upon Darkrai one day. She was surprised to learn that the other Pokémon had an ability mirroring hers-- Cresselia could dispel nightmares easily. It was as though Cresselia was made to counteract Darkrai. The duo became quite close; Cresselia being the closest thing to family she had.
So there Rajani stayed for many, many years...
However, there was just one problem (or two). Although Darkrai wasn't harming anyone anymore, she was also very bored. There was only so much to do on an island consisting of only a rocky ledge and a pond closed off by trees. And though she'd never admit it... she was kind of lonely, too. She'd had a lot of time to think things over, and came to the conclusion that if she was so powerful, she should use that to her advantage and protect weaker beings.
So one day she informed Cresselia that she was going to strike out on her own; that there HAD to be something she could do that wouldn't hurt people, and that it was up to Cresselia if she wanted to follow or not. With that set, she left the islands and the Sinnoh region.
But not before giving herself a name... Rajani.
What brings this person to Diamond City?:
She left Newmoon Island because she was bored in search of something to do, and this is where she and Cresselia have ended up. Simple as that.
Misc. Notes:
-Human form, as drawn by the lovely sketchyheart! 5'3'', 110 lbs. Darkrai is...kind of small for a legendary, and it carries over to her human form. She actually gets taller, haha.)
-Current moveset is Dark Pulse, Dark Void, Psychic, and Shadow Claw; all of which she can use (albeit considerably weakened) in human form as well as Pokémon form.
-Her only real strength lies in terms of non-physical abilities and agility. She has average physical strength, but to say that her endurance is lacking would be an understatement. oh god why did I link all of that.
-She wears a Lunar Wing on a necklace 24/7. She found it lying around in her travels and kept it with her as a charm of sorts. God Cecilia don't leave your stuff lying around like that, there's creeps who collect that kind of stuff y'know
-She can turn into a shadow. (But it's not like Raj is going to pop out of just ANY shadow, she turns into one herself and moves around like that. She'll only use it to hide, promise!)
-Nocturnal-- not only due to personal preference, but also because the sunlight is actually somewhat painful to her eyes. She's used to Newmoon's mini-forest keeping it shady.
-Sensitive to heat. Hey, she's from Sinnoh; what do you expect?
-Blind in her right eye, so she doesn't like it when approached from that side.
-I sure do love misc. notes!

I have finally done it... I left Newmoon Island. I had forgotten what the outside world looked like... New experiences are likely intimidating to some, yet I feel nothing of the sort. If anything I feel... excitement, perhaps? Or maybe relief...? At any rate, it is a change of pace, which I so desperately needed...
Cresselia has accompanied me to this place... If she is with me, then this experience should not turn out unpleasant... I do not wish to burden her, though, so I will attempt to stay out of trouble.
I think that for now, I will keep watch of this city. It is unfamiliar to me, and I sense that there are many powerful entities besides ourselves here... I currently do not know what forms they take; obtaining this knowledge shall be a priority.
I suppose I shall stop writing now, having run out of subjects. I will record more events in this journal as time goes by.
