Exams, Air Supply, Sarah Slean, Best Friends and more

It has definately been an interesting couple of days.

Well, my infinately interesting weekend starts with Friday. I had my exam, which I still don't have a grade for. I talked to many people who were in my CMSN 130 class and everyone unanimously thinks it's bullshit. Which is a shame, because I find the course material to be so interesting and facinating, but the Professor and the TAs do everything in their power to make you do bad and barely have the effort or consideration to help or answer questions when we have them.

The exam for the most part, was ok. I am not expecting a miracle but I would be really happy to pass.

After the exam, I ran to the bus and took the skytrain to Renfrew to meet my mom so we could catch the Air Supply concert. I don't know what to say about the concert. I recognized a few songs, but the important thing is that my mother enjoyed it. She recognized many of the songs. I knew "Making love out of nothing at all", and "I'm all out of Love" and "Lost in Love". Other than that, there were many middle aged women that storm the stage and started hugging them and asking for photo ops in the middle of the concert.

I didn't realize that Air Supply still had bubbly fan girls. But, again, my mom had fun and that is the important thing.

Saturday, I went to see Crystal's new place and Katrina's back from Thunder Bay, so we hung out there for a while. We helped her unpack some boxes and went out for dinner and did some shopping, which was all good. We had much fun and relaxed on her new leather couches. I lost the screws that came in her new IKEA mirror in the unwrapping mess, but I had to meet my boy at the Chapters downtown to go to some fancy Army Christmas dinner.

So there we went. It was some Brazillian "All-You-Can-Eat" place. I had buffalo and ostrich steaks. That's all I can really say about the stuff that was out there. It was rather pricey. For the two of us, the bill ended up being around $80. Yikes.

But other wise, I tried to concentrate on being good arm candy and being a good "plus one".

Sunday, I went to see SARAH SLEAN!!!!!! OMG!!!!! SQUEEE!!!!!!

There is a definate line between singers and musicians. Ms. Slean is definately a musician. Her talent just flows right out of her pores. She sings, plays the piano WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT THE PIANO OR SIGHT READING!!!, paints, writes music, poetry and acts. There is just nothing like seeing her in concert. I definately recommend seeing her live.

Today, I went shopping with Katrina and her younger sister, Sara. Then I shopped around on my own for a bit. Then I went out for dinner and shopped with my mom. I'm honestly a little shopped out at the moment and tomorrow I get to go shopping with the boy for presents.

I can't wait :D

Ok, must get some sleep tonight. I must work tomorrow.

(LISTEN TO SARAH SLEAN!!)

food, music, school, shopping, work, boy
