I'm packing I am packing for New York I am so frickin' excited People, please give me tips or tell me places I must go :D I leave on Sunday night but it's so close i can taste it So giddy happy
If your going to places like the MOMA go to them early in the day. They get very crowded in the afternoon. Shopping in Soho/Village is great. Don't be afraid to hit the side streets. Theres lots of great stores in those too. Don't buy crap from shitty street vendors. Its all fake copies anyway. You should be brave and have a New York City Hot Dog with the works. Go see a Broadway show!
I'm in Mid-town on 53rd street. Come have lunch with me one day if your interested. Enjoy the city
I definitely second the idea of shopping in soho/village, but I suggest you window-shop on 5th avenue. All that luxury, and glamour is definitely worth seeing. Lots of great museums, of course, but it would take forever to get to them all. The MoMA is a must, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art also if you've never been. Just walk around is my best advice. Walk around Times Square, down Broadway to 34th Street and to Union Square. Oh, and Chinatown.
And of course I'll see you at the Jasper Fforde signing on Monday. I'm probably going to be sitting there reading Harry Potter. =)
