Exploring Mexican food in Seattle, Part 4: El Quetzal

A few weeks ago I read this review of a Mexican place called El Quetzal. It sounded just up my alley--not the same burrito/enchilada/fajita kind of menu. (There's nothing wrong with burritos, enchilada, and fajitas, but there are plenty of other places that serve them.) Ah, yes, the homesickness kicks in once again! I wish I were closer to Beacon Hill, too!!! This place sounds amazing. My favorite type of food on earth is Mexican.

Back when I lived on Capitol Hill, I'd eat a few times a week at a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant downtown (somewhere on Pine Street, almost up to the freeway, can't recall exactly), and there was something so comforting about knowing I could get good Mexican any time I craved it. I'm sure that place is long gone, but it's heartwarming to know there's still good food to be found in Seattle.
