Thanks to everyone who offered good wishes and congratulations. As promised/threatened, here are more wedding photos, and a bit more discussion about it.
Our story begins outside the Bellevue District Court. This is the "Before" shot.
We filled out the paperwork,
and then Judge Garrow performed the ceremony. Here we are with her afterwards.
Our friends Katie and Megan were our witnesses for the ceremony.
Here's the outside "After" shot.
After the ceremony, we drove to the Bellevue Botanical gardens to take some photos. We were lucky--it was absolutely a gorgeous day to be outdoors.
The obligatory kiss photo:
It really is a beautiful park. You'd never know it was so close to downtown Bellevue.
This is not my favorite photo of me, but it's one of the better shots of the necklace I'm wearing. My Grandmother Sono gave it to me a long time ago. I might have even been a teenager at the time. She died the year I met David. She never got to meet him, but I know would have loved him too. She was a fundamentally kind, thoughtful, and loving person, and so is David.
The leis were sent to us by David's coworker Peter, who was vacationing in Hawaii. They looked gorgeous and smelled even better. I'm holding a peach rose from a bunch sent by my parents.
There's a Japanese garden in the Bellevue Botanical Park, and some of our best photos came from there:
Here's the us with Megan and Katie under a teahouse roof:
Walking off into the sunset together.
When I get more photos uploaded, I will post Part III: The Dinner!
