The Eternal Dungeon - questions

So, I read The Breaking, which is the first in the Eternal Dungeon series (I believe) and I really liked it (love it- let's be honest here), so I searched for the rest and it seems to be developing in a S/M direction? I mean, I could have guessed it, a bit (The Breaking is pretty gen, with hints), and I am not super comfortable with S/M, D/S ( Read more... )

Worrrrlds colliding! :)

It's written by a friend of mine. I betaed some of them back in the day.

I'm going to come down on the not-BDSM side. It's set in a dungeon (obvs) and there is beating and torture, but less than you probably would expect. It's more an examination of ethical behavior. The relationships are egalitarian, and IIRC, there's not much if any sex. What sex there is is not explicit. To be fair, more has been written since I read them, so my info may be out of date.

I say read them. And read "Life Prison." Seriously. That blew me away the first time I read it.

Ha, it's good to know even I'm both taking a time out from bandom that there are still other things to talk about <3.
I had that impression, but wasn't too sure after I read one review on amazon. The Breaking has excellent characters and I love the dialogs, so...Okay. I had nearly a week to think about it, and with your helpful comment it's pretty much set. Will write a review about it when I'm done.
Will check Life Prison out when everything turns out alright with the first The Eternal Dungeon book.

I didn't sign up this year at all. And the mods made it easier for me to not sign up by running this on DW...
do not worry, there will be art for other things. I did sign up for DCU BB. \o/ all the superheroes shall me mine.
thanks for the lj link, but I feel weird writing published authors...so, we'll have to see if I'll do it or not. still, it's good to know I have that option.
