Re: New York City Explosions

For the few of you in the know enough to be concerned:

Christopher's new office that he goes to sometimes is attached to Grand Central Station. Of course, he was there today for the big explosion. He evacuated and is absolutely fine; walked north and my father is picking him up.

Holy Crap! I'm glad he's fine. What a crazy day today...floods, explosions, next plagues of locust.

I was telling Christopher I was glad he wasn't a first-born so he'd survive the coming plague.

I wonder if the flies in my apartment count instead of locusts.

I don't know but the mega huge mosquitoes we've been getting might.

I'm glad he's all right! My train left GC 3 minutes after the explosion! I didn't even know it had happened. Tomorrow, I suspect is going to be interesting.

Wow.

I'm so glad to hear it! Yeah, evidently Metronorth wasn't even seriously impacted except that people had to use the north entrance to GCS.

Oy. So glad he's fine.

It's funny, when I heard about it, I thought, boy, I hope no one I know was impacted by that.

And immediately proceeded to point out to myself how many people are in Manhattan on a given day, and how few of them I know, and therefore how small the chances were that anyone I knew was nearby.

Except that several of them were.

What's that about statistics and damn lies?

Yeah... and probably many who pass through GCS on their way home.
