Well, got the bills paid that needed paid. Realized while paying the Discover one that they'd lowered my interest rate without telling me. *blink* But that could just be cuz it's a variable rate and it's "low" this month. I need to get it fixed at low, and shall call them this week, I think, so it'll be nice and low for the trip ( Read more... )

Corrs - Heart - Fleetwood Mac crescentdreams June 30 2001, 14:44:53 UTC
Actually, it was written by Stevie Nicks ("Dreams") so it was a Fleetwood Mac song. ;) See how I get my music mixed up? I knew it was a blonde that originally sang it and was in the band with a cool voice though...

You're welcome. I'm glad you like 'em. The Corrs you gave me for my b-day has the video for "Breathless" on it, and it works very well on my laptop. ;)

It's Dreams by Fleetwood Mac...

It's on a tribute album called ... Legacy: A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac. It's where I first heard The Corrs and fell in love with them too. :) They did an awsome job with the song.. and the rest of the CD is as good!

The rest of the songs are:
1. Second Hand News by Tonic
2. Dreams by The Corrs
3. Never Going Back Again by matchbox twenty
4. Don't Stop by Elton John
5. Go Your Own Way by The Cranberries
6. Songbird by Duncan Sheik
7. Chain by Shawn Colvin
8. You Make Loving Fun by Jewel
9. I Don't Want to Know by GooGoo Dolls
10. Oh Daddy by Tallulah
11. Gold Dust Woman by Sister Hazel

Okay, Go Your Own Way as sung by the Cranberries would be INTERESTING. I like most of the other bands too, might be something I'll check out sometime. I'm weird.. I like Live albums, and compilation albums, but Tribute albums are touch and go.. I either love 'em or hate them.. but usually hate them. Dreams was a pleasant surprise. Heck, Dolly Parton is singing a Collective Soul song just now, with Nickel Creek backing her.. (Shine) that doesn't sound bad.. sort of startling in its acoustic-ness, but not bad at all.

Over-all, it's a really nice CD - something soothing to listen to. I've absolutely loved it.. and don't even remember why I got the CD to begin with! One of those impulse buys I think. :}

I don't think I've heard the Dolly Parton song.. may have to look that one up too!

Brian already jokes that I work for free since I end up buying books/CDs when I get paid. Guess there could be worse things I could be spending money on, right? :)

*nods and laughs* Oh, LOTS worse things. And this is part of why I HAVE been lazy about getting back into retail. Cuz it'd be books, music or video.. and I'd buy things. ^_^
