me again! i tried to use this one and for some reason the white area isn't centering, it's taking up the whole page. any ideas? all i did was copy and paste it!
The reason it is stretching is because your content is forcing it to stretch. The particular image that seems to be doing it is in one of your comments (it's the image that says "Laugh when you can, apologize when you should//and let go of what you can't change...").
If you remove that comment the page will correct itself.
This layout is adorable! I edited the images a bit and gave you credit, but it looks a bit wonky. http://www.myspace.com/sockie182 I'd like that empty white space on the right to be um, not there and I'd like to make the left column a bit wider. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I tried playing around with the coding myself, but I failed. :/
The large space on the right is due to the wide images in your comments. The only way to get rid of that space is to delete the offending images. The two that seem to be causing the stretch are the monkey image and the bonsai image.
As far as widening the left column, I'm sure it can be done. I haven't studied myspace's html enough to tell you what code you need to use to do it. Look at the source code for your myspace page and examine what table or cell contains the left column. Use the class name of its container to edit the CSS. If you can't figure it out there are myspace layout help communities on livejournal that should be able to help you, just do a search.
Oohhh, I didn't even think about that! I'm glad it's a simple solution! Haha. I was searching for a tag already there that had to do with table width, that's why I was so confused, I guess. I'll look into that. Thanks so much! <3
