We watched the Jet Li movie "Hero" last night. It never came to Crete in the theatre, sadly because it is one of the most beautiful movies I've seen. They do these amazing things with colors and fight scenes. It's almost like a kung-fu flick on really good acid. Sadly after going to see "Return of the King" we don't bother to see movies here.

I was really impressed with Hero, especially since I never saw the trailer for it. I can't remember a use of color done so well since The Cook, the Thief, his Wife, & her Lover. Cinematography rocked. I think it blew Crouching Tiger out of the water, which made me happy b/c Jet Li turned down that part so he could do that steaming crap pile "The One". That movie should definitely win something come awards season.
