There is a very slight, tiny shred of light that might save us. It means a massive pay cut but at least it might get us through Christmas. The meeting hubby had was based on how the company is losing money and how they need to save it. It doesn't make sense to get rid of hubby since he's the most experienced and knowledgeable person on staff. We're ( Read more... )

That sucks! I'm so sorry. I hope they get their heads out of their asses and realize how valuable your husband is, at least until he can find a better job that appreciates him. Sorry, sweetie. *hugs*

Thanks. Yeah, fingers crossed for sure. It's not knowing that's killing us. I can imagine it wasn't that long ago you were going through a similar thing :-/ The world would be a lot better without the worry of money.

While we didn't know when it would end, we did know that Eric would still have a job when it did, so I know this is much harder on you! Not knowing is the worst. I hope it all works out and you know that soon!!!

Seconding what karen9 said. I can't believe they'd just do this. It's a little more understandable when you are just one worker in a huge company, but from the way you describe it, it's nothing like that. Gah, I hope they realize how much he's put into it over the years and that they're making a stupid mistake! *hugs*

Yeah, I always knew this guy was a bit of an asshole, but he's really shown his true colours. I know for a fact that if they get rid of hubby it will be the ruin of their business. I hope they lose it all.

I think everyone else has already expressed what I'd like to say, but I hope the company does take your hubby's hardwork and loyalty into consideration before they make such an incredibly stupid and selfish decision. Even if they just cut your hubby's salary and/or postponed his dismissal, it would be something. I'll be thinking of you and your family and hoping for the best.

Our aim is to get through the New Year. No matter what hubby has to do, he's willing to do it just to get there. Then he'll really look for a new job.

Thanks! *hugs*
