Yuletide 2014
Dear Yuletide Author,
First, thank you for offering to write my fandom! Just so you know, I am very, very easy to please. I just really like reading fics, okay?
There are only a couple of things I don't like reading about. The main one is embarrassment. I'm also not that big of a fan on the current A/B/O trend or of the age regression trope. PWPs aren't my favorite, but I'll still read it if you write it.
I like magical realism, confrontations and revelations, secrets revealed!, and characters getting there in the end(-so and so had a different life but they still meet and fall in love.)
I like reading an outsider's point of view. I like stories that make me smile but stories that make me think are also awesome.
On my requested fandoms:
Ysabel is one of my favorite books, probably the one I've read the most. It hits most of the likes I've mentioned above actually. I like Ned's potential--who is he going to grow up to be and how much magic/otherness is going to be in his life?
I found Check Please! from a banner at a convention. I bought the zine without knowing anything about the series then went home and read the whole webcomic in one night. Ahh, it's such a richly detailed world. I'd love to read something about Jack and Bitty a few years in the future when Jack makes it to the NHL. If you want to put him on a real life team that would be great but don't feel like you have to. I will say my first intro to the comic was the zine cover photo of Bitty wearing Zimmerman's sweater. Feel free to use that as inspiration!
And the Dallas Stars.
They make me smile cause of how often they smile! I'm new to this whole hockey fandom (and fan!) thing (surprise! even though I'm in georgia the cable is actually giving me 3 channels that play games on a regular basis, wow.) I like them as friends and as teammates. (And more if you want to write that.) I know I stuck too many ideas in my request, sorry! Pick one, or none or whatever! If this is what we matched on and there's a story you've been wanting to write but haven't had an excuse to, I'd love to read it. These boys just make me smile.
