wooot!!!! Not fan fic - children's stories. But I just did 50,040 words despite being away for three days at the Doctor Who 50th birthday party convention!
Congratulations on winning NaNo, that's really impressive.
Don't know about you, but I loved John Hurt, and am super excited about the new Doctor (Twelve? Thirteen? Fandom seems somewhat divided) and the search for Gallifrey.
Yesterday I discovered your story "A First Time for Everything" and read through everything on your journal from its commencement till now. Just wanted to say I love your writing and your insights and musings, and hearing about your RL successes and challenges. I hope that life for you and your family has settled, and the difficulties have dimmed. I would love to read some more of AFTfE, but even if you don't return to it, please keep writing. It's a pleasure to read well structured stories, rather than teenage level drivel with no appreciable spelling or grammar (sorry budding writers, but please... betas are there for a reason). Anyway, congratulations on the NaNoWriMo award! Looking forward to your next posting.

Glad to hear you're still writing and being creative :-)
Hope the DW 50th was good - I loved the Day of the Doctor and the 5-ish Doctors re-boot ...
Just watched the 8th doctor's movie and cringed at how dreadful it was, although Paul McGann could have made such an interesting Doctor.
