Given all the time taken up by my conference. I only got to go to the Space Needle and eat at 13 Coins. Still, it was a great place to visit and I look forward to seeing it properly in the future.

What has this world come to?

- San Juan Island (SUCH a nice ferry ride to get there... this would be at least a full-day excursion)
- Seattle's many beautiful parks (I recommend Golden Gardens, Volunteer Park, Gasworks Park, Discovery Park, and Green Lake)
- the Ballard Locks (just down the street from Golden Gardens)
- Archie McPhee's (just down the street from the Ballard Locks... a crazy store)
- Pike Place Market (duh)
- Woodland Park Zoo (a pretty good zoo)
- Alaskan Way piers (very touristy, but still fun)
- Alki Beach (good place for walking/rollerblading, going to a restaurant, and catching a great view of downtown across the bay)
- Wineries & Breweries (mostly out in 'burbs like Woodinville... sometimes Chateau Ste. Michelle has concerts)
- the apartment from 'Singles' (just kidding)
- Broadway in Capitol Hill (trendy/sleazy shopping, bars, and good people-watching)
As for Vancouver, I've only been there once, briefly, and I think I missed all the good ( ... )Reply
