I was going to go to weight watchers but the nurse at my doctor's practice offered to monitor me for free instead. This has the bonus of not having to go to public weigh-ins. You could see whether your GP surgery offers a similar service.

Due to a combination of fear of the nurse, and wanting to show the smug patronising bitch that I am better than she thinks I've lost 1 stone 8lbs since the beginning of February.

That's a really good idea, I may well do that. I think I need the humiliation of the public weigh-in though!

I'm sorry you have to go to a funeral. I lost a friend in a car accident on Sunday. Death is really really lame, and people need to stop doing it.

Shopping for funeral clothes is always the hardest thing to do. I remember looking for a skirt for my grandpa's funeral and finding the whole thing miserably distressing. *hugs* Much love to you both. Take care hun, thinking of you.

*hugs* Shopping for funeral clothes is always horrible - you want to look nice but you feel guilty about it. Don't beat yourself up about it, looking nice at a funeral is a sign of respect for the person you're there for. That's what I always try to think anyway...

And Crick - you're beautiful. I've been feeling really huge lately, I've put on loads of weight, and it sucks - always does but no matter how much weight you gain you're still the same person, and that person is beautiful.
