“So tell me how this all works again?” Jayne asked, laid out on the uncomfortable infirmary bed, River standing by his side. She reached out a hand and gently touched the plastic tube leading deep red blood from the bag suspended above him into his left arm.

“The blood enters your system through the artery here,” she skimmed past the needle nestled in the crook of his elbow and traced upwards past the ball of his shoulder, “then follows up through the axillary artery.”

He hummed his comprehension, following her movements with rapt attention. Her touch always excited him as did her knowledge of things he couldn’t hope to fully understand. Combined, it was more than enough to distract him from the burning pain in his calf where the bullet had zinged through tearing muscles and destroying arteries.

River’s hand coasted over his warm pectoral muscles, making his skin tingle with her fleeting warmth, before settling in the middle of his chest making a fist that she tensed and relaxed along with his throbbing pulse. “The blood enters the right atrium and is pushed through the tricuspid valve to the right ventricle.” He didn’t have a clue what half the words meant, but he listened anyway, enjoying the attention his girl was giving him. He felt himself starting to harden at the sound of her voice alone.

Her hand flattened on his chest and moved to the right while her other came up to mimic it on the left side. Rubbing in slow circles and grazing his nipples occasionally, she continued, “Then it goes to the lungs via the pulmonary arteries where it is purged of carbon dioxide and replaced with oxygen.”

Touch was always his favorite of his senses and he closed his eyes as her firm hands soothed him into relaxation and arousal at the same time. He sighed in loss as she abandoned the motion to return to her imitation of his heart.

“The blood returns to the heart through the pulmonary veins and into the left atrium. The mitral valve leads to the left ventricle then out into the body through the aorta.” Thin pale fingers traced a delicate line from the center of his chest down his stomach and past his navel making his stomach muscles clench.

“The abdominal aorta continues all the way down then splits into two iliac arteries.” Warmth pooled low in his belly and he willed her to touch him more intimately, but her hands skirted past his groin and down each of his legs.

“I think you missed a spot, baby,” he interrupted, reaching down to grasp her hands in his own. Tugging them back up, he pressed them against his aching member. “What about all the blood goin’ here?”

River smiled wickedly and pulled back the thin sheet covering him from the waist down. She continued the lesson. “Blood flows in through the corpora cavernosa and corpus spungiosum vessel systems.”

He whimpered in frustration as she traced his length with light teasing touches, from the dark crinkled hair at the base to the heated engorged tip. “Muscles relax and blood fills the spongy tissue.” She wrapped her fingers gently around him, exerting only the slightest pressure to his impatient flesh.

“Sperm stored in the epididymis is pushed through the vas deferens to the ejaculatory ducts,” she used her free hand to cup his scrotum as she pumped his erection slowly making him moan in pleasure. “It mixes with fluids from the seminal vesicles, prostate and bulbourethral glands to form semen.”

Her strokes became firmer and faster making his breaths come in stuttering gasps. Despite the noise of his own breathing, he still heard her voice. “When stimulation continues and orgasm is reached, the semen is ejaculated through the urethra and out of the body.”

With one final upstroke, he came, spilling himself over her hands. Still shuddering with his release, he decided if he’d known learning could feel this good, he’d have stayed in school.
