Jayne stamped down the corridors of the passenger dorms with a look of confusion on his face. He had been playing a game of cards with Kaylee when the doc had come in. Kaylee immediately dropped all of her attention from the game to make googly eyes at the fancy man. Jayne had told her to untwist her wet panties and get her mind back in the game. She had gotten that hurt look on her face and run from the room. Simon followed her out, calling Jayne imbecilic and uncouth as he left. Jayne enjoyed trading insults with the doc, but he needed to know what those words meant before he could retaliate. So, he was going to the only person that could help him out in this matter: River.

When he reached River’s door, he slid it open and walked purposefully into her room. His body froze as soon as he heard the little moan and his eyes widened as he took in the girl’s position. She was splayed out across her bed, feet flat on the mattress, her knees spread, tenting the blanket over her lower half and a hand tunneled under the blankets between her thighs.

She shrieked in embarrassment, clamping her legs together tightly and turning away from him as soon as she registered his presence in her room.

“It’s customary to knock before entering someone’s room! Get out!” she yelled, blushing furiously.

A wide grin spread over Jayne’s face.

“You sure you don’t need a hand with that?” He asked mischievously, bringing his hand up to wiggle his fingers in the air invitingly.

Her only response was the book from her nightstand being hurled across the room towards his head as he ducked back out of the room doubled over in laughter.
