I was a little surprised how quickly I remembered the prequel, then I remembered how I liked it.

This is an excellently promising start. I feel like I could just reach out and touch the emotion they share. Beautiful.

I'm glad you like it! It's been a while since I've written anything and I was a bit worried about being too rusty.

This part is all about setting up the relationship between River and Jayne, there will be a lot more plotty stuff coming up :)

Thanks for reading! :)

It's been ages since I've talked to you! How are you? What have you been up to lately?

I loved sleepers! So as you can imagine, I’m thrilled you’re continuing this.

The aching need River & Jayne have for one another is truly inspired. I especially liked the bit about her non-smile.

To be honest stormwolf_dawn7 did most of the work in establishing how their relationship works, but I was afraid that if I didn't show the emotions behind it and if someone hadn't read her original piece that later on it would look like Jayne was just River's Reaver pet.

In my imagination the Academy is doing some pretty torturous things to these people, but I didn't really want to get into it too deeply, so I threw in River's non-smile to establish that while they're not being treated badly at the moment, it's not exactly staying at the Ritz :)

So, Rogan, huh? This is the place to go to get the best from my favorite fic author ever: http://www.peephut.org. My favorite fics are the ones in the Alter-Eighteen series, but, seriously, Rogan.

Which brings me to the similarities between this 'verse's Jayne and lab!Logan (also known as Wolverine). Honestly, Logan/Marie is so Jayne/River it's not even possible to pretend you can't see it.

You've found the WRFA, right? Have you read the Scripture series on LJ that is slowly drawing to a close? It's amazing.

Do you have Jean issues yet?

Also, you know I love this. I love pretty much anything you write. You write it, I eat it. I mean read it.

Oooh, Thanks for the link! *bookmarks* I've read the Alter-Eighteen series (because I'm a whore for AU's).

I've had the prologue and a bit of the first chapter written for a while, but reading all those wonderful stories about feral!Logan in the lab sparked my interest again. It's really amazing how similar the 'ship is to Rayne...as long as you ignore a little insanity, spaceships, metal appendages, memory loss and deadly skin. But seriously I could go on and on with the comparisons, I just love both these pairings so much. Luckily I'll spare you the gushing :)

OMG! I LOVED Scriptures! I stayed up until almost 4am so I could finish it (all except the last chapter that has yet to be written).

Yeah, I'm really starting to hate Jean. X3 wasn't too kind to her and I wasn't really digging on her character anyway, but, ooh boy, do writers love to tear her apart! :)

I get the Curi seal of approval! *beams*

*huggles*
