if you let the past stop you from trying to find it, then no you'll never find unconditional love. but i think its out there because people are so messed up that for a marriage to last, they would have to love their partner unconditionally. humans can exist all on their own, they don't need someone else to help them breathe. but if love was created simply to aid in procreation, that would be energy wasted on what could easily come in the form of alcohol. basically, if my above ramblings didn't make any sense, i don't really have an answer for you but to not give up. love love love--

I completely agree...let me just tell you this..it may help
You shouldn't let your past stop you from anything.
Our eyes are placed in front so we can look FORWARD and into the FUTURE, and our ass is in the back so our past can kiss it...
I know it sounds childish and corny..but it does make sense. Our past is here to help us and build character..not to ever screw ourselves over with falsities that are nailed into our head..Don't let your past get to you..there's a reason it is called our PAST..
May I offer one more bit of advice...
Forget your head and follow your heart..it knows what it desires, your brain knows not love but that of knowledge, your heart is practically love itself...
If that makes sense...
