Today we were tested on our knowledge of DUI laws. With one careless mistake on my percentages the Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) I jacked up a whole section dropping my score to an 80%. So the moral of this story is: If you decide to drink and drive, make sure I pull you over at which case I will probably f#ck up on my calculations and you’ll get off on a technicality... sigh. Also screw you people who fit in section 75pa: 1612 and your damn CDL licenses can go straight to hell along with your .04% BAC limit.
In other news, we had our first lesson of fluid and motion defense. It sounds like we were playing with water guns but the pretty title meaning we beat the crap out of a guy in a foam suit with batons. The red color suit or “Red Man” is used for situations where we would have to defend ourselves from an aggressor.
In my simulation I had to stop a crazy man who was vandalizing a police car with aggressive orders and “reasonable force”. It felt so good to pound on him with my baton but sadly Mr. RedMan hits back. I took a punch to the face and lost my glasses so that was a downer. The only real blunder on my part was swinging at his shoulder and ending up hitting his head which is a zone only to be targeted for lethal force... so my bad. But aside for my accidental lethal force I was scored very well. And on a side note it was later determined that I was justified to have used lethal force so everything ended on a positive.
After our simulation a mock police incident report had be made to document our encounter. When I turned in my report the Deputy Sheriff scanned over my paper and asked “I beat you went to college, didn’t you?” Befuddled, I answered yes and walked away. I guess tomorrow I will learn if that was a good or bad question.
