Hey folks! How's life in the States? I certainly miss it, but I'm having fun in the Fatherland ;-) My Sprachkurs (language course) came to an end on Friday, so it's a wee bit sad because a lot of my new friends went home to their countries to finish studying. Well, after a completely insane and very busy Friday and Saturday, I have a nice quiet Sunday to relax. Friday evening, I went on a beautiful hike around the mountain near the cities of Merzhausen and Au. On Friday night, a huge group of international students when out to the Schloßberg beer garden, which sits atop a hill and overlooks the city. I'm here in Freiburg, Germany, which is a pretty big city - a lot bigger than Frederick, MD! It's been kinda crazy since the airport lost my luggage and I didn't have it until Saturday, but all's well now. I started class today and I think I'm going to like it. Well, as of a half an hour ago, I only have six days until I hop on my plane for Germany! That's insane! What on earth was I thinking?
