Blue glitter

I completed this corset last October, but I've never got around to posting. My camera batteries haven't been holding a charge and have been driving me nuts, hence the lack of pics lately!

The colour is hard to capture, especially as these were snapped quickly. It's a midnight/royal blue. I had the devil of a job matching the satin to the glitter as ( Read more... )

I *love* your glitter corsets, they're kind of a signature piece :-D

I can't love this one. I just didn't like the colour. It's way more effort working on something that isn't to your personal taste.

That is very true. I do have a hard time with mid-blues too ("BBC blue" I call them), but the overall look is always stunning. And very cleanly executed of course.

I hate lacing up a corset just to discover I need to re-do a bit of binding! So annoying.

I felt bad, as you were fighting with that satin at the same time and this stuff was incredibly well-behaved :D

I know you don't like the colour, but I love it! Then again, I am a bit of a blue girl. *g*

Yes, you like blue generally. :)

There's nothing wrong with the colour in itself. It's just a shade I do not like. There aren't many colours I'd say that about, but mid-toned pure blues I just have never liked. A few shades either way and I'd be fine with it :)

Maybe it's the photo (the one where it doesn't look lilac!) but it looks quite dark to me. Perhaps it's because of the glitter, which appears to be darker. I know what you mean, though. I think if the whole corset were the blue, I'd not like it as much. :)

The front on one is the closest colour wise. I wish I'd had time to take more pictures, but I never have time and the camera batteries were beeping flat after each shot!
