That is excellent news. I have had a friend of similar 'womanliness' contact me for a corset. She is more pear shaped and I will be doing alot of learning as I have not made corsets for this sort of figure before. She knows this, and is happy about it. This corset will give me my mojo back as the confidence will do me good, I need it. She has given permission for pictures etc so I will post my progress.
That's great. And a pear shape will be a bit more straightforward than an apple. Every challenging figure ups your skills that bit more and makes you a bit more confident. Then when you get an 'easy' figure it's a dawdle :)
I absolutely agree about how satisfying making a corset for larger or less proportianal sizes can be, because the results usually make the person so happy. I have done one corset about that size and it was really interesting and fun :)
I should probably do more samples and photoshoots as I need to showcase my work but I usually am more satisfied with wedding gown photos and other real people photos because it is real people wearing my clothes!
Yes, I think potential clients like seeing real people anyway. My problem is quite a few of these recent ones have been for underwear for weddings so I don't get pics obviously.
It is really rewarding working with non-model sizes though. Perhaps it's that you have to concentrate on the client more whereas with a perfect figure you're thinking about the corset. It's a different relationship between the client and the corset and then yourself and the client.
