It's great that Raffles fandom appears to be picking up again and I'm glad you're trying to encourage more Raffles fic - this fandom deserves to be more active. I was actually about to post a comment to let you know that there already is a Raffles kink meme on LJ, in case you weren't aware of it. Then I noticed that of course you must be aware of it, because you appear to have copied the rules from the original meme verbatim. Any particular reason for that?
I have no problem with a new Raffles meme being created (although obviously it would have been nice if the original could be promoted, as it still has a lot of unfilled prompts on it). However, it seems a bit "off" in internet etiquette terms (not to mention pointless) to create a whole new meme to replace someone else's one and then copy and paste the rules from the original version into your own one without checking if it was OK and without any acknowledgement. I did write them myself, they aren't generic "kink meme rules", in case that's what you thought.Reply
I'm sorry. Make a meme was a spur of the moment of decision last night. There was a livestream of about 15 people and we all sort of agreed that the kink meme for the fandom was dead and that we needed another one.
I'll go create my own rules . Sorry if I caused any trouble.
OK, fair enough. Although if a meme is dead, it can always be revived by posting in it... unless your meme is drastically different to my one (and it clearly wasn't if the rules could be copy-pasted), it seems a bit of a strange decision to create a new one...
If you'd asked permission or acknowledged where they came from, I would probably have been OK with you using my rules. But yeah, as it is, it's probably a good idea to have a go at creating your own, so that the new meme gets its own identity.
I just posted a new set of rules. For the most part, kink meme rules are pretty generic and it just seemed the logical thing to do was copy/paste some of the rules you had on the other meme. My mistake. I didn't mean to steal some your specific rules.
And to be fair, we weren't even sure if you were still around. Considering that the meme hasn't been used for almost a year.

I'll add the other meme to the masterlist too.
