Daein -- Daein flooded their own land to slow us down? How could they even think about doing something like that?!

[[6% spent -- 3% on Chapter 18, but he doesn't find it worth mentioning right now, and 3% on Chapter 20. 76% total; 2% remaining.]]

[For a nation to flood its own land like that -- what were the mercenaries doing?]

If it isn't much trouble, I would like to hear the story behind this.

...We were in a war. At the time, we were marching through the kingdom of Daein. We made our way into a region called Talrega, and...

The enemy ahead of us...they opened the floodgates to the river nearby. It was to try to stall us.

But there was a village there, along with lots of farmland. The water ruined both the village and the land. The Daein army sacrificed the lives of their own people to stop our advance.

...Yeah. I'm fine.

I wish I could say the same about the villagers, though.
