Hi! This is my first icon tutorial, so I hope I can explain everything quite well, all the resources (textures, indeed) are by colorfilter.

-First of all chose an image, crop it to 100x100 px. and then go to Filter>Sharpen>Sharpen

-After that, new layer (Ctrl+Shift+N), Color #994842, Blend Mode: Lighten, Opacity 100%.

-New layer, with the gradient made with #994842 & #E3BD6D, Multiply, 100%

-Now, use this texture made by colorfilter, Overlay, 100%. Then, go to Edit>Transform>Flip Horizontal. Erase a bit over Sarah's face with a soft round brush, opacity 50%.

-Other texture by colorfilter, Difference, 20%.

-And another texture by colorfilter, this is the last one I promise, set to Soft Light, 80%.

-Now the face looks a little strange, remember your base? duplicate it, move to top and set it to Soft Light, 100%. Now add some text, I used 18th Century. You can play around with colors and size ;).

-And that's it!! Any questions? Suggestions? Comments?
