Well, I imagine you COULD buy one if you knew the right people. Does said main man know people? Of many and mysterious types, with a myriad of connections? If he does, I venture that he could in fact buy a silencer of the proper make at any time he so pleased.

If he doesn't, he might be able to, but it would likely be a significantly riskier prospect as he'd be walking into it blind. Does he care?

Oooh, all very good points. However, the people he knows that could hook him up are, in fact, the people he's intending to use it on. SO. We're just gonna go in guns blaring and not delay any more. *bounces off to type like a madwoman*

If you have a gun and are planning to use the gun and are working for a crazy drug ring and you need a silencer, I would say that you could find one. Or steal one. :D

silencers do not ACTUALLY make guns inaudible. they make them only slightly less loud. it probably doesn't matter anyway.
