My figure drawing class really takes me out of my life, out of my stresses. There's something about having to sit there for an hour and draw a naked person, that just takes you out of yourself, and I'm really grateful for that. I am so near the breaking point with everything that having to draw objectively, and then take it and make it your own

Your art is your art, unless someone is paying for it. But your style of art is unique than someone else. Nobody should tell you how to paint or draw like this person. You have a style, embrace it.
I remember I use to give a cookie to a model in figure drawing class. I did forgot when I was signing up, that had nude people. I found out on the second day, I skip the first day.

Maybe it is the school that you are in. Are you still in SAIC?
