YES! I was hoping one of my UK-based LJfriends would post photos of the snow. I read about it on Yahoo news and so incredible to see the Tower Bridge frosted with white.
i wish now that i had ventured out to see some of the really famous sites covered in the snow. i suppose i could have walked down to the thames, it's only about 2 miles, but the thought never occurred to me. poop. it might snow again later this week, maybe i'll venture out if it does... *scheme*
I also meant to comment on your boots - so cute!! We rarely get snow here in North Carolina, so I make a point to go out and document when it does. Is it very rare in London? The first time I was in London (2002) I recall it was February and sunny one minute and sleeting/snowing the next, but nothing was sticking around.
thank you! i wish my digital camera had been charged, i would probably have been out there for hours! still, not bad for a mobile phone (my old sony-ericcson, not the crappy camera on the iphone).
Gigi looks so happy to be in snow!! Also, I miss you terribly! I hope I can coordinate a trip to Marin next time you're there. Or you could come to Seattle. Love love love to all three of you.
i miss you, too! i'll be in s.f. in 2 weeks, any chance you could pop down?? alas, i think it will be a while before i get to seattle. i'll ring your mum when i get to town, hopefully she'll have a bit of time for us to meet up - if my mother hasn't already filled the whole 2 weeks! ;p
