I HATE MY JOB!! Ok, i feel better. & I suppose I don't really hate it, Im just getting extremely fed up with it right now. Why? Because it seems like i keep skipping out on work when I REALLY DON'T. I've never been one to just "not show up" to work when I was scheduled to- that's not me! But for the second time now, that's what it's gonna look like ( Read more... )

I think if Jasmine just made a mistake and wrote down the wrong shift, she will probably be the first (well, second, after you of course, lol) to tell them that. If it was just a mix-up and a miscommunication, they will for sure ask her what happened, and she'll most likely say the same thing you did, just that she accidentally wrote down the wrong shift, and it wasn't your fault.

Why they wouldn't have called YOU when they thought you weren't showing up though, is beyond me....had they done that, which would've made loads more sense than calling someone else and just wondering about why you "weren't there for your shift", they would've known what happened early on, and they could've saved themselves, and you, a lot of aggravation.

Good luck! Let me know what happens!

I dont think any of the blame is gonna fall on ur shoulders, like you said why would you take a shift and then bail out on it, it makes about as much sense as house initials ;) . Anyways, just be honest with everybody, and even talk to jasmine about it and find out what her side of the story, make sure she doesnt have the whole thing misconstrewed. You just need to get a job with no authority and endless amounts of flexibility to screw up, like me, no worries, papa johns will kick some major balls!!

Well i figured out all the crap with work tonight.. Jasmine did infact schedule 2 people for one shift instead of one for each, so she said she'd talk to the manager & Im off the hook type thing *HUGE SIGH OF RELIEF* My job is just unorganized like whoa.. it would make a ton of sense for them to call me & ask where i was.. but who knows why they didn't, blah. & you're damn right Chadly that papa john's is gonna kick ass.. you better not leave me for Applebees or you're a smelly pirate hooker that needs to go back to their home on whore island.. haha! ;-)

hey, so, you post on mine...so i post on yours :)
i'm sorry things are so stressful for you right now, i'm sure you can find a way to explain the situation to someone and i wouldn't worry about losing your job or anything that drastic...remember they need you too. ;) anyways, try to brush it off and have some fun with the warm weather. are you going to be working in the fall as well? maybe i'll see you at training :) keep in touch, and keep your head held high!

Nah, Im working at Papa John's in the fall, as a driver if i feel like paying $250 to park (*ouch*) & if not, then just in-store. CA's are only a summer type thing since we organize stuff (check-in/check-out, provide linen, etc.) for the camps that come stay here over the summer & since there aren't any camps coming in the fall then there's really no need for us :-( Which sucks bc i'd love to have free housing in the fall & in the summer, hehe. But we are given the option of returning for the following summer so i'll prolly end up doing that for next year, since i love it so much out here on the west side of the state. Oh! & it's hills 227- do you know who lived here last year? lol.
