My two songs currently being listened to were played today at work. The first at the start of the day, and the second at the end. For some reason I really like "Wicked Game" by Chris Isaac, but then, the video may have played a small role with that. *wicked grin* And at the end of the day, while listening to "Hotel California," I couldn't help ( Read more... )

Doesn't Hotel California remind you of a certain place we used to belong to? And I used to think it was referring to a certain Hollywood Celebrity Hotel that was creepy.

I always prefered "they stab it with their steely knives, but they just can't kill the beast" as a line, myself. *shrugs*

"You can check out any time, but you can never leave." Heh.

^^ I love that "Bad Day" song. I heard it on the radio once (at least I think it's a song). Meh, it's been too long since I've heard it.

Sometimes work feels like that last line; I leave, and yet I return. Because I choose not to become homeless. Damn catch-22's... *sigh* It sucks how rich people have "wonderful weekends" and us poor folk have "a couple days off."

Anyway, yeah, you should know the "Bad Day" song, since you're a Hoosier. *winks* You should know all about Bob and Tom. *laughs*

Have you seen the end of X yet? Did it leave that same "wtf?" feeling with you as it did with me?

I was at a store today and the song "Rocket Man" by Elton John came on. The whole store broke out into song. For an instant, it felt like time stopped and you were part of the song.... love it when that happens

Yeah, "Rocket Man" is pretty cool also. The people at work tend to really get into "Bennie and the Jets" for some reason though. The other day, The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again" played on the radio, and I couldn't help but scream along with Roger Daltrey at that "yeah" part. Although my fellow coworkers looked at me in an odd way afterwards. *haha*

I love those moments when the world seems to stop, as though everyone's soul is on the same page, so to speak. Only a few songs can do it though, which is why I guess those moments are so rare. Still, no matter how bad a day someone can be having, for that instant, their troubles are washed away. I think we as a people need more of those moments. It certainly couldn't hurt...

Mind if I add you to my friends list?

You like Word and Void...

Er, sorry, you don't know me, but I was just looking at who else liked my interests and I clicked on Word and Void and you're the only other person who listed that. Yeah. ^^;; That was really random... but... I just wanted to point that out. O_o;;
