Good stuff. I've got an older-than-the-average Invictus who was in the Balkans not long after the Western Empire fell if you'd like some background ties. He visited Constantinople in 1200 or so; not sure if your PC or members of the House were around then or not, but if they were then our respective PCs could have met.
