For that sound card thing, have you tried just downloading a driver for it? My soundcard and videocard were laggy and half not working before, until I finally got the bright idea of downloading and cracking drivers for them. Now they work really well. (for cracks, just search mscracks.com)

And um...go steal a hammer from the hardware store? I totally did. Or maybe a heavy soled shoe will work. Improvise!

I hope stuff gets better soon. I know how horrible it is to not have a job. I haven't had a job since July, so I have no money at all. But then I got a job this week, so y'know things tend to eventually sort themselves out. Just go apply for jobs everywhere and anywhere and something will eventually come. Telesurveying isn't that great of a job anyway, right?
