CHARACTER
Name: Unknown; Goes by Cissnei
Canon: Final Fantasy 7 Compilation.
Timeline: She has a small role along with the other Turks in On the Way to A Smile; The Case of ShinRa, where it is mentioned that the Before Crisis Turks live semi-normal lives now. OTWTAS takes place between the end of Final Fantasy 7 and Advent Children.

Personality:

Cissnei, close to 24 by this point in time, will always still be a Turk by ten + years of conditioning, though she will never work for ShinRa again. As a Turk she has had to face down Monsters, Thugs, Ecoterrorists and SOLDIERs both by herself and with the support of the Turks as a team. She’s very proficient in hand to hand combat, firearms, using her surroundings to her advantage and fighting with Materia casted spells. Most of all she’s very strong willed and never gives up, despite the circumstances.

A woman who has worked all her life, Cissnei tends to be portrayed as serious and hard-working, willing to accept any and all orders given to her by her superiors. She’s efficient in her work, quick to act with needed with or without direction. Years and years of combat training in hand-to-hand, Gunplay, and in her shuriken make her dangerous, despite her small and slim figure. She has a loyalty to ShinRa and the Turks that is unmatched, and won’t hesitate to take measures against those who hurt her Turk ‘family.’ She is also, to those who manage to get close enough, friendly and caring in her own way. She likes to tease, offhanded comments are the way she shows she likes people, since she has learned that outright emotions are dangerous to show and can be used against a person.

After hearing First Class SOLDIERs Zack Fair and Sephiroth died in the Mako Reactor fire in the small town of Nibelheim, Cissnei continues with her life as a Turk, dealing with the struggles of daily life, missions, and the Power struggle between Rufus ShinRa and Jack ShinRa, the younger setting AVALANCHE on the company itself and blaming the Turk Director Veld for it. Five years later her life changes significantly. In the midst of this struggle, she is sent out to find experiments escaped from a laboratory. When she reaches the beach and finds out who these said experiments are, a significant change happens when she defies her orders and allows them to escape with her motorbike. Her wavering loyalty to the Company and the Turks now shows to go just beyond Turks and ShinRa, but moved outside to the realm of traitorous to both of them, guided by the feelings she has for Zack.

It manifests again in early December of εуλ 0007, when Cissnei intercepts Zack Fair near his hometown and warns him away, actually leaving the Turks for ten minutes to hold a conversation with him and allowing the other to flee. Though she hopes this will keep him safe, it does not. She gets one more chance to save him on a Priority S Mission via retrieving him before the Army takes him down, but she, Reno and Rude end up being too late and only find a body and a young blond cadet on the cliff overlooking the city of Midgar.

She carries that as the biggest failure, both personally and in her career. Few know how deep that hurt actually runs, though. Soon afterwards, she along with many of the other turks, left the Company and went into hiding, leaving for new names and new lives. However, they never stopped helping their own, sheltering and caring for Tseng when he was nearly killed by Sephiroth and evacuating Midgar before Meteor hit. Later, when Rufus ShinRa was kidnapped, they even helped Reno, Rude, Elena and Tseng look for him, despite the bad blood between them and the ShinRa.

First Person:
[She had not remembered getting on a train- not that there was a train anywhere near where she was. What would they use to fuel it anymore, with the mako reactors all shut down?It is a concern, but not her biggest one right now- No panicking allowed.

She takes stock of what is around her as, as she steps off onto the train station platform. The signs there help, and they show her something that both is and isn't expected.

ShinRa, of course.]

So, who isn't affiliated with ShinRa? [Her tone is neutral, following the instructions on how to use the watch. Cissnei's voice might be familiar to some, it might not be. It has indeed been some time.] Really, I don't think they would be happy to see me.

[Then why is she talking about them? Simple, really, drawing attention to see which of them were really there.]

Third Person:

She still hurt, and to a point what most would consider badly, but pain was something she had lived with for a long time, and it was something she had learned to condense and let it slide to the back of her mind, when the situation called for it. But even pain could be fixed, if not for a short time. There were pills, there was magic and man brewed potions and perhaps all sorts of tricks one could use to escape into a suspended reality. In the times when she absolutely had to she used those, when Cissnei knew that there was far too much going on for her to be resting.

But as for the likes of now, one had to allow the body to work things out on itself. Sure it was uncomfortable, and the haze of pain kept from real restful sleep, but Cissnei knew eventually that she would fall into such, when her mind won out over her body. She doubted, after all, that anybody expected her to be back so quick if they had known she had been killed at all, much less be ready to jump back into the fray of things.

Soon, only a day or two before that happened.

Eventually Cissnei realizes that it is not the pain haze keeping her on the verge of this not-quite sleep, but a gut feeling that whispered up to her that danger lurked afoot. She knew it was not Ifrit, for she had grown used to the cat sleeping pushed up against the side of her knee as he was now, but something else. Her slow breathing had not changed, a nearly unnoticeable movement of her finger sliding down to the safety on her handgun beneath the sheets, her hand ever already on it, before hazel eyes opened and she turned her head to look straight at the other, fingers ready to flick back and shoot as needed before realizing who, by familiar clothing, feeling, and general knowing of how the other worked, it was.

Even old guard dogs could never forget useful tricks.
