I don't know if it helps, but I've found that sometimes the expectation that something should happen can get in the way of the experience of it. I'll sit there and think, I'm meditating, but nothing's happening, so there must be something wrong with me. Sometimes you just have to let go of what the experience should be and just let the experience be what it is. And try be gentle with yourself. It's not failure, it's all a process. There is no end-stop.
