and there's no hope for me, i've been set free

last night, greg and i saw ellie parker (i was let down by naomi watts for my first time).

then, we decided to head to the troubadour last minute, to see Mount Eerie (aka the Microphones) for what has turned out to be one of the best shows i've ever been to. what is so great about it is that all the bands are very low-key and very peronsonable. phil elvrum (the front-man of microphones/mnt. eerie) played drums in two opening bands that opened for him. it was crazy to just talk to him, knowing all that he's accomplished musically, which i admire so much.

bobby birdman played first and he/they were excellent. afterwards, i talked to him and told him that i loved his shirt, and he noticed that it was similar to my own, which was cool.

in between bands, my mom called me and we had a nice little chat, she telling me about her time on catalina and how she danced and danced.
here i am
